William Takahashi is a University of Illinois graduate with a background in graphic arts and social work. He is disabled. His disability is Cerebral Palsy. In Champaign, William worked as a social worker with abused and homeless clients, assisting them in finding housing and employment, and ran elementary and middle school tutoring programs. When he returned to the Chicago area he decided to enter the adult entertainment industry five years ago because he saw a real need for education, understanding, and integration of the disabled into the adult industry. William has written for Spread Magazine and has also written a resource guide called ENTERTAINERS GUIDE TO DISABLED CUSTOMERS. He presented the content of this guide in a workshop at the 2008 Desiree Alliance Conference in Chicago. In addition, he produces videos. His first video was shown at the 2009 Sex Worker Film Festival in San Francisco event: Intersections: Krip Sex! Krip Sex Work An evening of film and discussion on interconnections, sex work and the Krip community) presented by Desiree Alliance, ISWFACE, BAYSWAN and SWOP-USA. His work was featured on Playboy Radio's Nightcalls show hosted by Christy Canyon in late June 2009. William splits his time between doing disability awareness training in the adult entertainment industry, and marketing his videos. writing, and erotic art greeting cards to adult retail stores.He still occasionally models to promote sexuality and disability. William also offers a comprehensive, multi-media presentation that educates on the various unique aspects of working with disabled clients. We offer one presentation focused specifically to be a guide for Healthcare and Customer Service Professionals and another specifically for Adult Entertainment and Night Club Professionals to help them interact with people with disablities in the best possible way. Our organization is no longer affiliated with SWOP Chicago in any way. We recognize that each organization has different goals and different desires about who they want to be affiliated with. We wish SWOP Chicago success in the future, but we will no longer be affilated with them.
